Her clinical and teaching interests include preconception care, community and underserved medicine, family medicine obstetrics, and racial and ethnic disparities in health care.
She has been involved in data collection, analysis, and project management for evaluations of programs in diverse fields, including teen pregnancy prevention, English language learner education, and international cooperation. Karen Antell, MD, MPH, FAAFP is a graduate of Yale School of Medicine and completed her family medicine residency at West Suburban Family Medicine Residency in Oak Park, Illinois.From 1995 to 2007, she served as a residency faculty member and family physician at PCC Salud Family Health Center, a federally qualified health center (FQHC) in Chicago, Illinois. Antell joined the Department of Family and Community Medicine of Christiana Care Health System.She currently serves as a trustee on several non-profit boards including Upstream USA, the Natural Resources Defense Council, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston and Partners in Health.
She is an overseer at the New England Aquarium and is a member of the Susan F.He continues to provide comprehensive women’s health services with special interest in minimally invasive gynecology, contraception, high risk obstetrics and is a preceptor for medical, PA and NP students. Baxter is a member of the Delaware LARC Workgroup and a Nexplanon trainer.
